What we offer

Private Pilot

At The Lazy Eight Flight School we will take you from your first flight experience all the way through your training so you can earn your Private Pilot Certificate. FAA minimum flight requirements are 40 hours of flight training. After earning your Private Pilot Certificate aircraft will be available through the school for you to continue to rent and fly as you so desire. We specialize in laying a solid foundation in a new aviator’s learning process.

Instrument Rating

After earning your Private Pilot Certificate you may continue on to earn an Instrument Rating, this would allow you to fly in the clouds. Although this rating is not a requirement for a hobby pilot, it is strongly encouraged as it tends to help you be the safest pilot possible. Also, if your goals are to fly as a commercial pilot this will be a requirement. There are a few commercial jobs that do not require an instrument rating, but our staff still advocates for getting the rating for many reasons.

Commercial Pilot

If your goal is to fly for a career, then you are in luck at The Lazy Eight. We know first hand what it takes to make flying a career and we would love to help you along your journey as well. Our Certified Flight Instructors are ready to help you on your path to becoming a Commercial Pilot. Let us help you earn your FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate. 250 Hours of flight time minimum required.
